Horticulture/Gardening Impact Grant

With the grant funds, Chain of Lakes Middle School was able to procure gardening supplies such as seeds, soil, and garden bed equipment. Students took an active role in planning, planting, nurturing, and harvesting the garden, which continues to foster a sense of ownership and pride in their accomplishments.

Keep Oakland Beautiful Grant

We won the Keep Oakland Beautiful (KOB) grant 2 years in a row. Winning a KOB grant provided Soltree Alchemy with the resources to beautify a neglected area of the Hoover-Foster neighborhood in Oakland, CA. The wall that was often covered in graffiti, is now a vibrant mural intentionally created by neighborhood artists and families.
